Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri becomes Morocco’s first woman Head of Government
On 29 September 2026, His Majesty King Mohammed VI appointed Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri Head of Government, the first woman to hold the post in Morocco’s history.

Head of Government (prime minister) since 29 September 2026, appointed by His Majesty the King, she coordinates the collegial leadership of the PAM, which came first in the legislative elections with 97 seats on its “To change course” programme.

Authenticity and Modernity Party
Founded in 2008, the PAM came first in the legislative elections of 23 September 2026 with 97 of 395 seats, a first in its history. Since 2024 it has been run by a collegial leadership coordinated by Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri.
